Accreditation and Compliance
Accreditation is no longer something an institution affirms. It’s something an institution has to prove — with evidence, consistently applied, and reviewed on a documented cycle.
Under DEAC’s revised standards, institutions that rely on narrative statements or inherited internal crosswalks are building self-evaluations that won’t map cleanly to how they’ll actually be reviewed. Most institutions don’t discover this until late in the process, when correcting it is expensive.
Clarion guides institutions through DEAC accreditation and reaffirmation — identifying the gaps early, building the evidence, and preparing your team for what reviewers will actually ask.
Where we help
Readiness assessment. Before you commit resources, we assess where your institution actually stands against current DEAC standards and give you an honest picture of the gap.
Self-evaluation development. We help you build a self-evaluation that maps to the current standards framework — not to an earlier version of the handbook.
Evidence and documentation. We identify what each standard genuinely requires you to demonstrate, and help you assemble it: assessment plans, outcomes data, faculty oversight records, curriculum review cycles, student services documentation.
Policy review. We audit existing policies against DEAC expectations, and just as important, check whether they’re being implemented and reviewed consistently, which is what reviewers examine.
Reaffirmation. Reaffirmation is not a lighter version of initial accreditation. We help institutions understand the difference and prepare accordingly.
Ongoing compliance. Accreditation is a continuous obligation, not a periodic event. We help you build internal review cycles that keep you ready between visits.
